About Miguel Cabrera
Miguel Cabrera signed with the Florida Marlins in 1999 at the age of 16 out of his native Maracay, Venezuela. After four years in the minor leagues he made his MLB debut in 2003 and became an instant big league sensation. During his first five seasons in Florida he earned four All-Star selections, finished in the top five of the MVP voting twice in 2005 and 2006 and helped lead the Marlins to a World Series title in 2003. In 2008 he was traded to the Detroit Tigers, where he elevated his legacy.
