Mick Foley

Mick Foley dedicated his life to professional wrestling and writing and acting before his retirement as a sports entertainment legend. Born on June 7, 1965, in Bloomington, Indiana, to Michael Francis Foley, he grew up in Long Island, New York. Foley developed his wrestling passion after watching Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka perform his famous steel cage leap at Madison Square Garden so he started his professional wrestling career in 1986.

Audiences throughout his career fell in love with his three distinct personas which included the deranged Mankind and the wild Cactus Jack and the lovable Dude Love. In 1996 Foley joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) which later became WWE and established himself as a key performer during the Attitude Era. The 1998 King of the Ring match between Foley and The Undertaker became a legendary moment in wrestling history when Foley suffered a 20-foot steel cage fall.

Foley achieved multiple championship titles including the WWF Championship during his wrestling career and WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2013. He has achieved New York Times best-seller status by writing multiple autobiographies and children's books and novels. Foley dedicates his time to philanthropy through his support of RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) and ChildFund International.

Foley retired from active competition in 2000 but continues to be a well-known figure in wrestling by making sporadic appearances and working on various media projects. His innovative approach to storytelling and athletic performance has inspired numerous fans and wrestlers who follow in his footsteps.
