Michelle Wie West

A prodigy on the golf course, Michelle Wie began playing golf at age four and qualified for a USGA tournament at age 11. In 2004 Wie became the youngest female to ever compete at a PGA Tour event, playing in the Sony Open in her home state of Hawaii at age 14. Since joining the LPGA Tour she has been a solid performer in major championships, having finished as the runner up in the 2005 LPGA Championship and 2014 ANA Inspiration, placing third in the 2005 Women’s British Open and capturing the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open with a two under par performance. For her performance on tour in 2014 she earned the Rolex Annika Major Award. As one of the top professional athletes in the world, Wie is the face of the LPGA as well as many other top brands such as Nike. In 2012 Wie completed her undergraduate degree in communications at Stanford University.
