About Megan Blunk
Megan Blunk is a 2016 Rio Paralympic Gold Medalist in wheelchair basketball as well as a woman who has battled mental illness her entire life but has refused to let it stop her. Originally from Gig Harbor, Washington, Megan is passionate about using her platform to educate, encourage, and inspire others to never give up despite any physical or mental health challenges they may be facing.
Megan was recently named to her second U.S. Women's Paralympic Team set to compete in Tokyo 2020. She is a Nike sponsored athlete and was seen in the “Dream Crazy” video ad featuring Colin Kaepernick and Serena Williams. She is a proud Challenged Athletes Foundation ambassador and was featured in the organization's "25th Year Anniversary" campaign, alongside Kobe Bryant. She's also proudly sponsored by PER4MAX Wheelchairs and The Hartford, a national life insurance company and a U.S. Paralympic partner.
Megan currently plays as the first and only female on the Wolf Pack- a division I, military veteran, a wheelchair basketball team in San Diego, and she enjoys helping others find motivation and purpose in their life by sharing her story and journey with depression.
