Mason Rudolph Biography

Mason Rudolph is a quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rudolph became the Steelers starter in his second season when Ben Roethlisberger went down with an injury. He threw for 112 and two touchdowns in Week 2 of the 2019 campaign in relief of Big Ben. Rudolph was originally selected by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He had one of the greatest careers of any quarterback in Oklahoma State history. Rudolph ended up taking over as the team's starter at the end of his freshman season and held that job for the remainder of his career. He threw for over 4,000 yards in a season twice. As a senior, Rudolph was named a second-team All-American and a second-team All-Big 12 selection. He also won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and the Sammy Baugh Trophy.
