About Marvin Jones
Marvin Jones was a terrific linebacker at both the college and pro levels. He terrorized opposing offenses at Florida State University. Jones was a two-time consenus first-team All-American and won the Butkus and Lombardi awards as a junior. In both of his final two collegiate seasons, FSU won the ACC. Jones was inducted into the FSU Hall of Fame in 2000 and had his jersey retired in Doak Campbell Stadium in 2015. When he left Tallahassee before his senior season, the New York Jets selected him fourth overall in the 1993 NFL Draft. Jones would spend a decade as a stabilizing prescence for the Jets, collecting over 1,000 tackles in his pro career. He was also a first-team All-Pro choice in 2000.
