Marti Malloy

Marti Malloy is a competitor for the United States in Women’s Judo. Malloy attended San Jose State University in California following high school, where she simultaneously worked towards an advertising and marketing degree and trained for the 2012 Olympics. Malloy’s first significant success came for her at a mere 16 years old, when she claimed her first gold medal at the 2002 RendezVous Canada, her first senior international competition. Malloy later went on to earn silver medals in consecutive years, 2010 and 2011, at the Pan American Judo Championships. In 2012, she competed at the Olympic Games in London and came out with a bronze medal. Malloy earned three silver medals in 2013, as well, and finally came out on top with a gold medal in the 2014 Pan American Judo Championships in Guayaquill. Mastering a rare sport, Malloy’s dedication and hard work is just as rare as she has accomplished so many things already at such a young age.
