Mark Wilson Biography

Mark Wilson, born in Wisconsin in 1974, is a professional golfer who currently golfs for the PGA Tour. Wilson attended the University of North Carolina and debuted professionally in 1997 with the NGA Hooters Tour. Wilson has since obtained nine professional wins, five of them being on the PGA Tour. Wilson received his first win on the PGA Tour in March of 2007 in the infamous Honda Classic. Due to this prestigious accomplishment, Wilson became one of the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time in his career. One of Wilson’s best years to date was 2011, during which he received impressive results in the Masters Tournament, U.S. Open, The Open Championship, and the PGA Championship. At the World Golf Championships in 2012, Wilson moved up to a career high 24th spot in the world ranking and is only expected to climb up higher the ladder in the years to come.
