Mark Barron

Mark Barron is a linebacker in the NFL, currently playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. At a mere 25 years old, Barren was first drafted as the seventh overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers . After spending his first three seasons in Tampa, Barron was a reliable contributor for the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams for five seasons. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Barron attended high school there and earned the title of the 2007 MVP of the Class 5A state championship game. As a senior in high school, he was also named first-team Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State selection and in addition to his prestigious football happenings, he had many notable accomplishments as a runner on the track-and-field team. After accepting an athletic scholarship to the University of Alabama in 2008, Barron did great things for the Crimson Tide for three seasons until he was drafted. He won two BCS National Championships, was a two-time first-team All-American and three-time first-team All-SEC choice.
