Marcus Jones is a dynamic cornerback and punt returner for the New England Patriots. Selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft from the University of Houston, Jones quickly established himself as a versatile playmaker. At 5’8” and 188 lbs, his speed and agility shine in the slot, on special teams, and occasionally on offense. In 2025, he earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for a record-setting 167-yard punt return performance, including an 87-yard touchdown against the Carolina Panthers in Week 4. His college career at Houston and Troy proved he was a significant playmaking threat, earning All-AAC honors. Off the field, Jones is known for his work ethic and community involvement, making him a rising fan favorite in New England.
