London Fletcher

London Fletcher attended Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, Ohio and led his team to consecutive state championships in basketball.  He went on to play both basketball and football at John Carroll University, where he set a school record with 202 career tackles at the linebacker position and earned NCAA Division III Linebacker of the Year honors as a senior.  Fletcher signed a free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams in 1998 and went on to play 15 seasons in the NFL with the Rams, Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins from 1998 to 2013.  During that span he set an NFL record for most consecutive starts by a linebacker with 215 and most consecutive games played as a linebacker with 256.  His career honors include being named to the Pro Bowl four times, earning NFL All-Pro honors twice, earning the 2012 Bart Starr Man of the Year Award, leading the NFL in combined tackles in 2011 and total tackles from 2000 to 2009, and winning a Super Bowl title with the St. Louis Rams.  Fletcher retired in 2013 with 2,046 career tackles, 39 sacks, 92 pass deflections, 23 interceptions, 20 forced fumbles and two touchdowns.  In honor of his contributions to their franchise he was named to the St. Louis Rams 10th Anniversary Team and will no doubt be a Pro Football Hall of Famer one day.
