About Lisa Byington
Lisa Byington made history in 2021 as the first full-time female play-by-play announcer for a major American sports franchise when she was hired by the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks. Byington also does games for the WNBA's Chicago Sky. She had previously been known for her work broadcasting college football and basketball for Fox Sports and the Big Ten Network. Byington was the first woman to call a college football game for the Big Ten Network in 2017. That year she also started working the sidelines on NCAA Tournament games for CBS and Turner. In 2021, Byington added another trailblazing duty to her resume, becoming the first woman to do play-by-play on a March Madness game. Outside of football and basketball, she has also called soccer for Fox during the 2019 Women's World Cup and for NBC during the 2020 Olympics. Byington was a two-sport star at Northwestern, playing basketball and soccer.
