About Laurent Robinson
Laurent Robinson is a professional football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. Robinson attended Illinois State University where he was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Year and a consensus All-American as a junior in 2005. He was also a finalist for the Walter Payton Award. Robinson was voted to the Missouri Valley Football Conference quarter-century team in 2009. The Atlanta Falcons selected Robinson in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft. During his rookie year, he played in 15 games and started 6. Robinson was traded to the St. Louis Rams on April 8, 2009. He was a starter until he fractured his fibula on September 28, 2009. He was soon released during the off-season. The San Diego Chargers signed Robinson on August 3, 2011 and was quickly released at the end of training camp. He then signed with the Dallas Cowboys on September 7, 2011 to be released on September 13. He then resigned with the Cowboys on September 20. Robinson signed a five year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars on March 14, 2012, but was released on March 13, 2013 due to multiple injuries and concussions.
