About Larry Foote
Larry Foote is a professional football linebacker and current coach in the National Football League. Foote played football for the University of Michigan where he was an All-Big Ten Conference first-team choice as a junior in 2001. As a senior, Foote was a first-team All-American and a second-team selection. He was also a consensus All-Big Ten Conference first team honoree and Defensive Player of the Year. The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Foote in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. In his rookie year, he played in 14 games and recorded 20 tackles. Foote recorded his first interception in 2004. The following year, he started in all 16 regular season games for the Steelers. Foote helped the Steelers win Super Bowl XL in 2006. The Steelers released Foote on May 4, 2009 after he requested the release. He signed with the Detroit Lions on May 6, 2009 for a one-year deal. On March 15, 2010, Foote signed a three-year, $9.3 million contract with the Steelers and on March 12, 2013, he signed another three-year contract. The Steelers released him again on March 5, 2014. The next day, he signed with the Arizona Cardinals.
