About Kevin Weekes
An NHL Stanley Cup Final goalie with the Carolina Hurricanes, lead analyst for ESPN and the NHL network, Kevin Weekes has managed to develop his craft from one of the NHL’s finest players to one of Hockey’s finest TV analysts and color commentators.
Kevin retired from professional hockey after 14 seasons in 2009. Since 2009 Kevin has honed his speaking skills as an analyst first with Hockey Night in Canada, followed by being embraced by the NHL Network and now a team member with ESPN. He has now earned the role of lead analyst and color commentator.
He is recognized as a skilled speaker having represented the NHL a congressional hearing with Commissioner Gary Bettman, Deputy Commissioner Bill Daley and Hockey USA head Dave Aubrey in Washington. He also leads discussions on diversity with several organizations including the NHL at their diversity summits. He has been tapped as a speaker on topics such as teamwork, high performance, best practices, and inclusion with sales forces and other corporate departments.
