About Kerry Collins
From the moment Kerry Collins entered the NFL he was under the spotlight. Collins was the first-ever draft pick of the Carolina Panthers and led the team to the NFC Championship game in their second season. He would also play briefly with the New Orleans Saints, before finding the prime of his career with the New York Giants. Collins quarterbacked the Giants to Super Bowl XXXV. He threw for a then-team record 4,073 yards in 2002 and finished in New York with 16,875 yards after five seasons. Collins would also start for the Oakland Raiders for two seasons, played for the Tennessee Titans for five years, and finished his career with the Indianapolis Colts. He is also one of the greatest quarterbacks in Penn State history. In his 1994 senior season, Collins was a consensus first-team All-American and won the Maxwell, Davey O’Brien, and Sammy Baugh Awards. That Nittany Lions team finished undefeated and had a Rose Bowl win over Oregon.
