Keith Elias

Keith Elias played football for Princeton where he accumulated 320 career points and 52 career touchdowns.  He still hold the Ivy league record for both.  Elias also hold the record for being the only Ivy-Leaguer to have two 1500 yard seasons.  Elias went underrated in the 1994 NFL Draft and later signed with the New York Giants.  Elias was not expected to play in the 1995 season but impressed the coaches when he scored the only touchdown in the first preseason game and ran for 77 yards in 12 carries in the next game.  In 1997 the Giants awarded him with the Unsung Hero Award but Elias signed with the Indianapolis Colts for the 1998 NFL Season.  While with the Colts, Elias scored the game-winning touchdown in the final preseason game in 2000, however his veteran salary would not fit under the salary cap of 2000 so he did not play in the NFL that year.  In the fall of 2000, Elias tested the waters with a newer league, the XFL.  He went to the New York/New Jersey Hitmen mini camp hoping to make the team.  He became their backup running back but was put on the injured reserve with a knee injury.  Today, Elias is a motivational speaker and aspiring writer.
