About Julie Ertz
Julie Ertz had a long successful run with the United States women's national soccer team. Ertz featured for the team from 2013-23, winning two World Cups. She was the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year in 2017 and 2019.
Ertz also had a substantial pro career, spending eight seasons with the Chicago Red Stars before closing it out with Angel City FC in 2023. She was named to the NWSL Best XI or Second XI four times.
Prior to getting her senior national team call-up. Ertz was captain of the United States under-20 women's national soccer team that won the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup and the under-23 team that won the 2013 Four Nations Tournament in La Manga, Spain.
