About Juan Carlos Mortensen
Juan Carlos Mortensen is a professional poker with two World Series of Poker bracelets. He is the only Hispanic player to ever win a WSOP Main Event. Mortensen’s triumph at the 2001 WSOP won him $1.5 million. He has also had great success on the World Poker Tour, winning three titles and finishing in the money 15 times. In 2010, he landed at first place on the all-time WPT money list. Mortensen has made over $10 million in live tournament earnings in his career. He originally started out chasing his career of success when he moved to the U.S. from Spain in the 1990s.
