About Jordy Nelson
Jordy Nelson was a second-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in the 2008 NFL Draft and subsequently grew into one of the premier wide receivers in the National Football League over 11 seasons. Prior to joining the Packers, he earned Consensus First Team All-American and First Team All-Big 12 honors while playing at Kansas State University. During his career with the Wildcats, he caught 122 career passes for 1,606 yards and 11 touchdowns, while also throwing for two touchdowns and returning two punts for touchdowns. As one of the most dynamic players in the country. Over the course of nine seasons in Green Bay, he became a favorite target for Aaron Rodgers. He helped the Packers to an NFC title and Super Bowl championship in 2010 and followed it up with his first 1,000-yard season a year later. That season, Nelson also led the NFL with 15 touchdown receptions. In 2014 he earned Pro Bowl honors after catching 78 passes for 1,265 yards and 12 touchdowns. After suffering a torn ACL in 2015, he stormed back to win NFL Comeback Player of the Year and Best Comeback Athlete at the ESPY Awards by racking up 1,257 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. Nelson played one more season in Green Bay before retiring following a final year with the Oakland Raiders.
