About Jordan Reed
Jordan Reed was one of the best tight ends in the league during his eight-year career, seven seasons of which were spent with the Washington Football Team. Reed had the highlight of his career in 2015, catching 87 passes for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns on the way to earning Pro Bowl honors and helping Washington win the NFC East. He was originally selected by Washington in 2012 in the third round of the NFL Draft. During his first NFL season, Reed garnered PFWA All-Rookie Team honors after catching 45 passes for 499 yards and three touchdowns. After one final season with the San Francisco 49ers, Reed retired in 2021, citing concussion concerns.
Prior to the pros, Reed signed with the University of Florida as a quarterback after a standout prep career at New London High School in New Britain, Connecticut in which he threw for 1,706 yards and 38 touchdowns as a junior and earned Quarterback of the Year honors. However, when he arrived on campus in Gainesville, he made the transition tight end and flourished, becoming a top tight end prospect and earning All-SEC second-team honors.
