Jordan Mason

The Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL) employ Jordan Mason as their Canadian-American professional football running back. The athlete Jordan Mason was born on November 25, 1999 in Gallatin, Tennessee before attending Georgia Tech for college football. The running back finished his college career at Georgia Tech by becoming the 11th player in program history to reach 2,349 rushing yards and the 15th player to reach 449 rushing attempts.

The San Francisco 49ers chose Mason during the 2022 NFL Draft without selecting him. The team granted him a spot on their 53-man roster right after signing him as a free agent. Mason played in 16 games during his rookie year while carrying the ball 43 times for 258 yards and scoring one touchdown. The following seasons showed his ability to make important plays on the field.

Mason became the 49ers' primary rusher during the 2024 season by starting six games while gaining 789 yards and three touchdowns through 153 carries. The running back accumulated 11 receptions which resulted in 91 receiving yards. His running style received praise from the league because he consistently gained yards after contact and forced missed tackles.

The Minnesota Vikings acquired Mason in March 2025 through a trade before signing him to a two-year contract worth up to $12 million. The Vikings expect Mason to support their starter Aaron Jones while adding depth to their running back position.
