About Jonathan Coachman
Jonathan Coachman, known as “The Coach” by his fans, is a former pro wrestling and college football color commentator and currently serves as an anchor for ESPN’s flagship show SportsCenter, and syndicated radio talk show host for ESPN Radio. Coachman got his start in college athletics after leading McPherson High School to consecutive Kansas High School state championships before heading to McPherson College. While at McPherson College he played basketball, pursued a degree in theatre, served as the sports editor for the school newspaper, and did play-by-play for local football and basketball radio broadcasts. After earning his degree he pursued a successful career in professional wrestling in the World Wrestling Federation from 1999 to 2008. Upon leaving the WWE he was hired by ESPN in 2009 and has since become one of the most popular sports personalities on television.
