About Joique Bell
Joique Bell joined the Buffalo Bills in 2010 as a non-drafted free agent out of Wayne State Univesity. A Benton Harbor, Michigan native, Bell decided to attend NCAA Division II Wayne State in Detroit after a stellar prep career. While playing for the Warriors he rushed for 2,084 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior in 2009, earning him the Harlon Hill Trophy as the NCAA Div. II National Player of the Year. After joining the Bills in 2010 he saw time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts before landing with the New Orleans Saints late in the season. Bell played two seasons with the Saints and then signed with the Detroit Lions. During his first two seasons with the Lions in 2012 and 2013 he rushed for over 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns while also posting over 1,000 receiving yards. In 2013 Bell teamed up with fellow Lions running back Reggie Bush to become the first running back tandem in NFL history to both rush for 500 yards and post 500 receiving yards. After the 2013 season Bell signed a two-year, $7 million contact with the Lions including $4.3 in guaranteed money, which will keep him in the Detroit backfield through 2016.
