About Jim Lampley
Jim Lampley is one of the most recognizable modern-day broadcasters. Lampley has covered a record 14 Olympics on television and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2015. As an employee of HBO from 1988-2018, he has covered some of the biggest moments in boxing on the network and pay-per-view. Lampley was the host of World Championship Boxing and The Fight Game With Jim Lampley. Lampley was one of the youngest to ever make his network debut and also a pioneer in sideline reporting when he joined ABC in 1974. Later, he worked for KCBS in Los Angeles while with HBO. In 1992, Lampley joined NBC and served in a variety of roles. He is originally from Hendersonville, North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina. Lampley has also been in the production business and is the founder of Atticus Entertainment. He currently lives in Del Mar, California.
