About Jim Kleinsasser
Jim Kleinsasser was a noted NFL tight end/fullback and key player for the Minnesota Vikings for over a decade. Kleinsasser’s finished second in Vikings’ history in starts for a tight end and fourth in catches. His superior blocking skills paved the way for backs like Robert Smith and Adrian Peterson. Seven of the Vikings’ eight best rushing seasons occurred while Kleinsasser was lining up in the backfield. Kleinsasser played collegiately at Division II North Dakota and was a second round pick in the 1999 NFL Draft. He is a native of Carrington, North Dakota. In retirement, Kleinsasser enjoys fishing and spending time with his young family.
