About Jim Craig
Jim Craig was the goalie for the legendary USA Hockey team that beat the heavily favored Soviet Union squad in the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. In that game he stopped an incredible 36 of 39 shots on goal to help the red, white and blue beat the Soviets 4-3 in a game that has been dubbed the “Miracle on Ice”.
After helping Team USA to a Gold Medal in Lake Placid he focused on his NHL career. From 1980 to 1984 he played for the Atlanta Flames, Minnesota North Stars and Boston Bruins. Due to the fact that he and his teammates returned to the states as American heroes he had a lot of opportunities to take advantage of after his career in hockey.
Currently Craig travels the country as a motivational speaker and marketing and sales manger. As the president of Gold Medal Strategies he manages promotions and marketing for athletes and business professionals. Where he really found his niche was in providing strategic advice. Over the last 26 years he’s provided advice to individuals from more than 300 businesses and organizations. Craig is a gifted athlete and speaker, and is the definition of professionalism.
