About Jim Courier
The four-time Grand Slam singles champion Jim Courier is a former world number one tennis player. By the time Courier was 23, he had reached the finals of each Grand Slam event and holds the record as the youngest player to do so. He has two French Opens and two Australian Opens to his credit. The 2005 International Tennis Hall of Fame inductee was number one in the world for 58 weeks during his career. By the time he retired, Courier had racked up 23 singles titles and six doubles titles. He originally turned pro out of the famed Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in 1988 and retired from the ATP Tour in 2000. Courier grew up in Dade City, Florida and currently lives in Orlando. Since his retirement, Courier has been a television analyst for a host of networks. His foundation, Courier’s Kids, supports youth tennis in the inner city St. Petersburg, Florida inner city.
