About Jim Bones Mackay
Jim "Bones" Mackay made history on the PGA Tour for 25 years as the caddie for Phil Mickelson. Mackay was part of Mickelson's team during all five of his major championship wins. He worked with Phil from the onset of his career in 1992 until 2017. Prior to working with Mickelson, Mackay also carried the bag for notable pros like Larry Mize, Scott Simpson and Curtis Strange. He originally met Mize and got his break while working at a golf course in Georgia after playing at Columbus College. After leaving his side, Mackay primarily has worked as a golf commentator and did come out of retirement once to caddie for Justin Thomas.
