About Jeremy Shockey
Jeremy Shockey played nine seasons in the National Football League with the New York Giants, New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers from 2002 to 2011. Shockey joined the Giants as a first round pick in 2002 out of the University of Miami. While playing for the Hurricanes he helped “The U” to an NCAA National Championship in 2001 with a team leading 45 receptions for 604 yards and eight touchdowns. His performance earned him All-American honors that season. Upon joining the Giants he continued his stellar play and earned Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors in 2002. Over the next nine seasons he earned four Pro Bowl selections, first team All-Pro honors in 2002 and the 2005 NFL Alumni Tight End of the Year award. He also helped the Giants to a win in Super Bowl XLII in 2008 and the Saints to a win in Super Bowl XLIV in 2010. Shockey retired in 2011 with 547 receptions, 6,143 receiving yards and 37 career touchdowns.
