Jed Collins

Jed Collins is a retired full back who most notably played for the New Orleans Saints. From 2008 to 2010, he played for or was signed with eight different teams over the span of two seasons. Before debuting professionally in the National Football League, Collins was a California native, born and raised. Growing up in the 1980’s and ‘90’s was a fun time for him as he excelled tremendously in both football and basketball. He ultimately chose to pursue football at Washington State University, where he primarily played tight end and set a school record for the most catches by a tight end. Just a year after setting that record, Collins went undrafted and signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for both the Eagles and the Chicago Bears practice squads before being traded again to the Cleveland Browns that same year. 2009 led Collins to the Kansas City Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns again. It was not until 2011 that Collins made a breakthrough and officially debuted professionally with the New Orleans Saints.
