About James Blake
James Blake was the face of United States tennis for nearly 15 years. After turning pro in 1999 at the age of 19 he quickly became a household name. In 2002 he won his first title at the USTA Waikoloa Challenger in Hawaii and would go on to win 10 singles titles over the course of his career to go along with seven doubles titles, ultimately accumulating over $7.8 million in career earnings. He was also a standout in team competitions, helping Team USA to consecutive Hopman Cup titles in 2003 and 2004 and a Davis Cup championship in 2007. In 2013 he left the game as one of the top names in the tennis world to pursue several successful off-court ventures, such as his own clothing line, Thomas Reynolds Collection. As a committed philanthropist, Blake has established The James Blake Foundation and the Thomas Blake, Sr. memorial Research Fund, named after his father, to support cancer research.
