Jadeveon Clowney

Jadeveon Clowney, a South Carolina native born in the 1990’s, was the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, scooped up by the lucky Houston Texans. Clowney battled through numerous injuries to become one of the league's best pass rushers. He went to three straight Pro Bowls in his final three seasons with Houston and was a second-team All-Pro in 2016. Prior to the 2019 season, Clowney was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. After one banner campaign in Seattle, he signed with the Tennessee Titans. Clowney continues to be one of the most feared players in the league with the Cleveland Browns.

Before becoming the first overall pick in the professional draft, Clowney accomplished a lot to get where he is. He was USA Today’s High School All-American and Defensive Player of the Year in 2010 along with South Carolina’s “Mr. Football” that same year. He was widely considered to be the best player in his area and received college scholarships form nearly every big-name school. Clowney turned down a copious amount of prestigious colleges to become a South Carolina Gamecock, where he excelled on the football team for three seasons.
