Jack Swarbrick

Jack Swarbrick is the current athletic director at the University of Notre Dame. While he was a Fighting Irishman himself, Swarbrick has obtained this position at his alma mater for seven years now. He grew up in Yonkers, New York in the 1950’s and ‘60’s and although always interested in the field of athletics, he actually obtained a degree in economics and law. Swarbrick obtained his law degree at Standford University after graduating from Notre Dame and practiced law for 28 years before accepting the athletic director position. While practicing law, he also served as the chairman of the Indiana Sports Corporation. Since becoming involved with his alma mater again, Swarbrick has big plans to do great things for the university. He is currently working on a project towards expanding the Notre Dame Stadium in order to make it a year-round facility, creating new community outreach and youth programming activities and is building student-athlete programs and services that enhance motivation to strive for excellent academic achievement. With past experience as a CEO and a member of the Indiana bar with the qualifications to practice in the Supreme Court, Swarbrick is widely considered to be an extremely smart and profitable man and is trusted by many to do great things as the athletic director of the University of Notre Dame.
