About Greg McElroy
Greg McElroy is one of the most highly respected quarterbacks in the history of the University of Alabama. Prior to making his way to Tuscaloosa in 2006 he was an All-American at Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas. During his senior year, which happened to be the only year he started in high school, he passed for 4,636 yards and 56 touchdowns and led his team to a Texas 5A State Championship. As the quarterback at the University of Alabama he led the Crimson Tide to an SEC Championship in 2009 and a BCS National Championship in 2010, while also earning a bachelors degree in business marketing with a 3.85 GPA in 2009 and a masters degree in sport management with a 4.0 GPA in 2010. For his accomplishments on the field and in the classroom he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a National Football Foundation scholar athlete in 2010. In 2011 he was selected by the New York Jets in the 7th round of the NFL Draft and would go on to serve as a back-up in the league for four years with both the Jets and Bengals.
