About Gisela Dulko
Gisela Dulko became a professional tennis player in 2001 when she was just 16 years old. Over the next 12 years she would dominate her competition, compiling 309 singles victories and 305 doubles victories to claim over $4.2 million in prize money. A two-time doubles Grand Slam champion, Dulko captured the Tour Finals in 2010 and Australian Open in 2011 with her partner, earning a No. 1 world ranking in November 2010 in doubles.
As a singles player Dulko captured four WTA Titles and 6 ITF titles during her career, reaching a career high No. 26 world ranking in 2005. Throughout her career she remained competitive, reaching the fourth round of the French Open in 2011 before deciding to hang up her racket for good in 2012. One year after her retirement she gave birth to her first-born son, whom she and her husband, fellow Argentine Fernando Gago, named Mateo. Currently she is enjoying the family life and traveling around the world watching Fernando play soccer for the Boca Juniors, a professional soccer team based out of Argentina.
