Garrett Hartley

Garrett Hartley was a professional placekicker in the NFL. In his high school career, Hartley was set a state record with 90 PAT’s in 2002. When he graduated from high school, Hartley was rated as the second best placekicker in the country. Hartley attended the University of Oklahoma where he was redshirted most of his freshman year. After inconsistent play from the staring placekicker, Trey Dicarlo, Hartley’s redshirt was pulled and he became the starter. Hartley played in three games during his freshman year, but kicked his first field goal at the 2005 BCS National Championship Game. While in college, Hartley was a Lou Groza Award finalist and a 2x Second-team All-Big-12 selection. Hartley signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2008, but he was soon released before the start of training camp. On October 29, 2008, Hartley signed with the New Orleans Saints and on December 13, 2014, he signed with the Cleveland Browns. In 2009, Hartley won Super Bowl XLIV with the Saints and became the first kicker to make three field goals of over 40 yards in the game.
