About Gardner Minshew
Gardner Minshew is a quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders. Minshew experienced immediate success as a rookie after being a sixth-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2019 NFL Draft. He came in for an injured Nick Foles in the opening game and proceeded to go 22-25 for 275 yards and two touchdowns. His 88% completion percentage was the highest in NFL history for any player's debut. Minshew also set the Jaguars single-game completion percentage record. It was easy to see his accuracy on display in the year he spent at Washington State. Minshew led the Cougars to a program-record 11 wins in 2018. He set single-game school records for completion percentage and touchdown passes. Minshew led the nation that season in pass completions, attempts and passing yards per game, while ranking second in passing yards. He won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year. Minshew had a unique road to get to WSU, originally starting his college career by winning an NJCAA National Championship at Northwest Mississippi Community College before transferring to ECU for two years.
