About Gabe Carimi
Gabe Carimi is a retired NFL offensive lineman. Prior to his time in the NFL, Carimi played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin, playing for the Badgers for four seasons. His best collegiate season came during his 2010 senior season, where he would receive All American honors, Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year, and the Outland Trophy. Following his graduation, Carimi was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, and was immediately the starting right tackle, but a knee injury in week 2 forced him out for the rest of the season. Carimi bounced right back in 2012, playing 16 games and starting 14 of them. Before the 2013 season, Carimi was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he would play for one season before being cut in 2014. Just seven days after being cut by the Bucs, Carimi signed a deal with the Atlanta Falcons, and became the team’s starting guard until retiring after that season.
