Felix Jones Biography

Felix Jones was a running back in the NFL for two franchises. During his college years, Jones played for the University of Arkansas where he was used as a runner, receiver, blocker or decoy. Jones was drafted 22nd by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2008 NFL draft. He signed his contract on July 26, 2008 for $10.53 million and only $7.67 million guaranteed. During a Monday Night Football game on September 15, Jones returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown. During his second season, Jones was awarded more carries than he had in his rookie season. In 2010, Jones played in all 16 games with the Cowboys and this would be his last time playing in all 16 games. Jones missed the entire 2012 offseason workouts due to shoulder surgery. In May 2013, Jones signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Shortly after, the Eagles traded Jones to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
