Everson Walls

Everson Walls is a former American professional football player who played for the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Cleveland Browns.  Walls’ professional career started in 1981 where the Dallas Cowboys signed him as an undrafted free agent.  During his rookie year, Walls lead the league with 11 interceptions. Throughout his time as a Cowboy, Wall received Pro Bowl honors in 1981, 1982, 1983, and 1985.  Walls lead the Cowboys in interceptions for five seasons. In 1990, Walls, as a free agent, was signed with the New York Giants for a two-year deal, worth over $1 million. Walls was on the team that won Super Bowl XXV. In 1992, Walls signed with the Cleveland Browns, where he played 13 games and then retired in 1993. In 2007, Walls donated a kidney to a former Cowboys teammate, Ron Springs. Two years after the surgery, Walls wrote a book titled A Gift for Ron, which explained his experience on and off the field that included the decision to make the organ donation to Ron.
