Erin Phillips

Erin Phillips is an Australian professional women’s basketball player who has played for both the WNBL and WNBA. In 2003, Phillips received a scholarship with the Australian Institute of Sport where she also played in the WNBL. Philips was named to the WNBL ‘s All-Star Five in 2005 when she played for the Adelaide Lightning. Phillips played for the Lighting for three seasons from 2005-2008. In 2006, Phillips had her first season in the league in Connecticut. It was not until 2008 that she started playing for the WNBA and during this time she had to take leave in order to prepare for the Olympics. In 2011, Phillips had signed with the Seattle Storm, but before the season started she was traded to the Indiana Fever. In 2012, Phillips helped the Fever with the WNBA championship. Prior to the 2014 season, Phillips was traded to the Phoenix Mercury. During the WNBA off seasons, Phillips would travel overseas and play for Ramat Hasharon, Lotos Gdynia, and TS Wilsa Can-Pack Krakow. Philips is also a member of the Australia women’s national basketball team. In 2006, she helped the Australian women’s senior team win a gold medal during the Commonwealth Games.
