About Eric Crouch
Eric Crouch was a quarterback for the Nebraska Cornhuskers from 1998-2001. After sporadic playing time through his first two seasons, Crouch was given his shot in 1999 and never looked back. He led the Cornhuskers to an 11-1 record and followed that up with a 10-2 record as a redshirt junior. In 2001, Crouch took his game to another level and earned numerous national praises for it. In his Heisman Trophy winning senior season, Crouch went on to break numerous school and NCAA single season and career records along with plenty of national awards. By the end of his season, he was one of three players in NCAA history to rush for 3,000 yards and throw for over 4,000 in a career. He compiled a school record 7,915 total yards and set the NCAA record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 59. At only 5’11”, many NFL scouts didn’t expect Crouch to be an NFL QB despite his wishes and after a short stint in the NFL he continued playing professionally in NFL Europe, the Canadian Football League, and the United Football League before retiring from the game in 2012.
