About Danny Granger
Danny Granger is a retired NBA small forward. Prior to his time in the NBA, Granger played collegiately at Bradley before transferring to New Mexico to finish his career. Following his graduation, Granger was drafted 17th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2005 NBA Draft, playing 78 games and averaging 7.8 points during his rookie season, good enough to be named to the All-NBA Rookie Second Team. Granger would earn a starting job in 2006, making the most of his opportunity by averaging 13.9 points. The 2009 season would be Granger’s best, as he would breakout to average 25.8 points, leading him to his only All Star nomination and earning the NBA’s Most Improved Player award. Injuries would limit him for the next few seasons. In 2014, Granger was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, but was released six days later, eventually signing with the Los Angeles Clippers for the rest of the season. In July 2014, Granger signed with the Miami Heat.
