About Dan Henderson
Dan Henderson is one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all-time. He was the last light heavyweight champion in Strikeforce history and the last welterweight and middleweight champion in Pride history. Henderson's feat in Pride made him the first fighter to ever hold belts for one organization in two different weight classes at the same time. He also had a lengthy association with the UFC, fighting for the organization's light heavyweight and middleweight titles. In his last fight against Michael Bisping at UFC 204 at the age of 46, he became the oldest person to fight for a championship in the organization. Henderson retired with a career MMA record of 32-15. Prior to his time as an MMA fighter, Henderson was a professional wrestler, accomplishing many impressive feats. Henderson has six medals from wrestling, including a gold medal at the 2000 California Pan American Championships. In 1997, Henderson began training in MMA, juggling both that and wrestling before focusing on MMA full time in 2001.
