About Command Force
The Command Force are the official cheer and dance team for the NFL’s Washington Commanders and remain one of the longest-running cheerleading organizations in professional football. Originally established in 1962, the squad holds a legacy as one of the first NFL cheer teams and continues to be recognized for its influence within the league. Over the years, the team has helped set standards for professionalism, visibility, and fan engagement in NFL cheerleading.
Today, the Command Force serves as ambassadors for the franchise, performing at Commanders home games and representing the organization at events throughout the Washington, D.C. area and beyond. Members are actively involved in community outreach, charitable initiatives, and special appearances, maintaining a strong connection between the team and its fan base while proudly carrying forward one of the NFL’s most historic cheerleading traditions.
