About Cincinnati Ben-Gals
As one of the oldest cheerleading squads in the NFL, the Cincinnati Ben-Gals were formed by legendary Bengals coach Paul Brown in 1968. The squad is comprised of 30 girls, electing 2 captains at the beginning of the season. In 2009, Laura Vikmanis was chosen to join the squad and at the age of 40 it made her the oldest cheerleader in the NFL. The Ben-Gals can be seen along the sidelines of Paul Brown Stadium performing for and pumping up the crowd to root on the Bengals. The Ben-Gals also do a variety of performances for charity, conventions, or other off-field events around the Cincinnati area. The squad started a Junior Ben-Gals sector to invite young cheerleaders from the area to perform alongside of them during home games.
