About Chuck Finley
Chuck Finley is one of the hardest throwing left-handed pitchers in Major League Baseball history. Over his 17 year professional career, Finley spent 14 of them with the California Angels (now the Los Angeles Angels), three with the Cleveland Indians, and just a half of a season with the St. Louis Cardinals. Known for his powerful fastball and a baffling forkball, Finley compiled 200 wins, over 2,500 strikeouts, and a career ERA of 3.85. Finley is one of the Angels all-time greatest pitchers, leading in wins (165), innings pitched (2,675), and starts (379); he also holds the franchise record for lowest ERA in a single season with a 2.40 in 1990. Throughout his career, Finley earned 5 trips to the MLB All-Star game and has been on the National Baseball Hall of Fame ballot on numerous occasions.
