Chris Rainey

Chris Rainey is running back in the Canadian Football League, currently playing for the Montreal Alouettes. From the beginning, Rainey knew nothing but success as he led his high school football team to three consecutive Florida State Championships, two of which were good enough to earn the USA Today’s national championship. Rainey then took his championship success to the University of Florida where he won an SEC Championship in 2008 and a BCS National Championship in 2009 for the Gator’s football team. Rainey was a well-rounded athlete who earned the team’s MVP honors his senior season as a diverse running back, receiver, and kick returner. Rainey’s athleticism also led to great success as a track star at Florida that earned him All-American honors and a NCAA Championship in the 4x100-meter relay. Rainey was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012 and was released the following year after a run-in with the law. Rainey was then picked up by the Indianapolis Colts where he took on punt and kick returning duties for two games before a season-ending injury. After being dropped by the Colts, Rainey was picked up by the Arizona Cardinals before moving to the CFL.
