Chip Kelly

Chip Kelly is one of the great offensive minds in modern football. Kelly is currently the offensive coordinator for Northwestern Football but has extensive head coaching experience both at the college and NFL levels.

Early in Kellly's career, he was a positional coach at Columbia University and later at his alma mater, New Hampshire. At his alma mater, he served as a position coach for several years before taking over as offensive coordinator in 1999.

Chip took a couple of years to install his high-flying, fast-paced offense but when he did, it took the nation by storm. His 2004 New Hampshire team went on to break 29 school offensive records, leading him to catch the nation's attention as one of the coaches to keep an eye on.

In 2007, Kelly accepted the offensive coordinator position at Oregon and held that role for 2 seasons before being promoted to head coach in 2009. Kelly's Oregon Ducks were virtually untouchable in his tenure, leading his team to a 46-7 record and 4 straight BCS Bowl appearances, including the 2010 BCS National Championship.

After filling his trophy case with a handful of Coach of the Year honors throughout his 4 seasons, Kelly made the jump to the professional level in 2013 and accepted the job as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. He led the Eagles to back-to-back 10-6 seasons before taking the job as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.

Kelly spent just one season with the Niners before returning to college as the head coach at UCLA in 2018. He had winning seasons in each of his last three years before departing for Ohio State, where he won a national championship as an offensive coordinator in 2025.
